Here’s my attempt to do a Blogging Parallelism post. It’s a tribute to Chris Rice‘s inspirational music “Other Side of the Radio”. My apologies to Chris for pilfering and tweaking his lyrics. Note that “blogio” is just my way of saying “blog”. It sounds better when I try to sing the modified lyrics with the music. Play the music below, sing along, and you’ll hear what I mean!

Here I am on the other side of the blogio
Wondering why I’m here and why anybody cares what I say
No, I’m not a better man ‘cause I’m typing my words on the blogio
‘Cause we’re all the same
At the end of the day

Now I imagine you on the other side of the blogio
Doing your homework, or surfing with your Windows open on the internet
I see you tapping the keys, I see you bobbing your head to the blogio
And it makes my day
To see that smile on your face
And in some small way
I remember my place

‘Cause it’s you and me reading the same words right now
And maybe this’ll bring us together somehow
And maybe there’s a million people all reading along
And somebody started thinking about the third line
And maybe someone’s saying a prayer for the first time
And that’s enough reason to keep me writing my posts
Writing my posts on the other side of the blogio

Crank up the volume, and read at the top of your lungs with the blogio
Tuning in to some Good News, and learning along with the blogger
We’re changing somebody’s world from the other side of the blogio
And it makes my day
To see that smile on your face
And in some small way
I remember my place

‘Cause it’s you and me reading the same post right now
And maybe this’ll bring us together somehow
And maybe there’s a million people all reading along
And somebody started thinking about the third line
And maybe someone’s saying a prayer for the first time
And that’s enough reason to keep me writing my posts
Writing my posts on the other side of the blogio

I love it! What a great idea – very creative. How in the world did you come up with that?

Hi Connie. I sit in my car a lot (commuting), and listened to hundreds of songs. This song in particular hit me when I was thinking about how many people out there were actually comparing blogs and their experiences with rabbit, cartoon, weather, etc.

I’m glad you liked it. I wasn’t sure if the idea was interesting, or downright silly. Thanks for loving it! 🙂

Cool song! I like it better w/ blogio replacing radio lol… Blogosphere would work too… I kind of like blogio better for some reason though. I just wrote a post this one helped direct me to write!
