Due to a sinus cold and stress level today, I am feeling decrepit. I’ll be turning 40 by the end of this year, and that means mid-life crisis is just around the corner. I have to start thinking which sports car to get. Well, according to the site below, I may like the Dodge Viper.

You’re all about raw power. You’re tough, you’re loud, and you don’t take crap from anyone. Leave finesse to the other cars, the ones eating your dust.

Take the Which Sports Car Are You? quiz.

Thanks for the link love! Much appreciated. I wouldn’t worry too much about the midlife crisis but that’s probably from one victim to another…LOL…Just turned 41 this month and believe I’m smack dab in the middle of it…LOL.
    Peace…….T

You get the sports car that best shows off the young chick you’ll hook up with.

@Tommy: Happy belated birthday! My magic number is 42, so I’m (not) looking forward to that. 😉

@Periapex: my wife is 6 years younger than me, so I’ll show her off instead. 🙂

You cradle robber. That’s why you look like an old man whenever she’s in the photo.

  5. I’m a Lotus Elise – which is too funny considering my favorite car is a Pontiac Solstic and this is the only car on the list that resembles it.

You believe in maximum performance and minimum baggage. You like to travel light and fast, hit the corners hard, and dance like there’s no tomorrow.

Dunno about dancing, but sounds close. Sorta. A little. Hehe.

  6. rudyamid says:

@Periapex: I look like an old man, no matter who sits next to me. 😉

@James: here’s one way to dance in your car: Drifting. Can you do that with your Pontiac? 🙂

  7. Damn. That looks sweet. We have an amateur racetrack near my place where any fool can get in a car and try that out… I’m tempted, buddy, I’m tempted.

But then again, I can get something close to this with my Pontiac.

I kind of lol at a midlife crisis. You seem too content to me to seriously consider a midlife crisis. I think that is what brings me to your blog sometimes. I take your blog as a dose of serenity, until I’m ready to accept serenity myself.

In regards to “I look like an old man, no matter who sits next to me.”:
Rudy, I think that is because you are wise! From your writing it seems you are and wise people look old even when they are young!

I am curious and hope you don’t mind me asking, do you consider yourself wise?

  9. rudyamid says:

@James: Very nice! French Canadian women are nicer, I suppose! 😉

    _
@David: By God’s grace and guidance, I am wise. Otherwise, I’m just a regular fool.

    lol…

This reminds me of something I’ve been thinking of a lot the past week or so…

It’s a prayer that goes something like this…

“Please God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”

I think it has helped me many times.

  11. rudyamid says:

Hi David. I’ve heard that too. Pray that prayer, you too can be wise, my friend.

You should look into the 2009 Corvette ZR1. 620 horsepower and an alleged 0-60 time of 3.0 seconds.

That Corvette looks sweet! If the speed claim is true, that qualifies it as a Super Car.

  14. Connie says:

Rudy, 40 isn’t as bad as it seems. You’ve been through good and bad. You’ve learned that you can count on God through it all and in the end that’s all that matters 🙂

  15. rudyamid says:

Hi Connie. That’s for sure. I am glad I can last this long without going to pieces. I won’t be able to do it without standing on solid ground. Here’s looking to 40 more with God’s help and grace!

  16. Yep, 40 is definitely mid-life crisis time, but that assumes you’re in the middle of your life, which means you’re planning a sharp exit age 80. I hope to defer my MLC until I’m 48 at least…
