Sometimes a big Content Management System, like this WordPress.org, has its drawbacks.  So many moving parts mean so many things can go wrong.

My RSS feed is no exception.  It’s currently not working.

This test post may (or may not) reveal the issue.

*crossing my fingers*

Update: It looks like FeedBurner is having “connection timeout” issues because it takes a few seconds for the WordPress RSS feed to serve up the XML content.  Going to have to look into that.

Update 2: Found the problem to be the WordPress “PictureSurf Gallery” plugin.  The code was way too fat and inefficient.  It actually managed to slow down my RSS feed!  Bad, bad plugin!  I replaced it with a much leaner (simpler) Nextgen Gallery.
