We went to Lucille’s BBQ last Wednesday.  It was a warm sunny day when we talked about:

  • Taiwan’s new president Ma Ying-Jeou. Sure looks like he’s pro-China?
  • Co-worker quiting to go to work for Warner Bros.  We jokingly called him a “traitor” because of the WB and Toshiba HD-DVD debacle.
  • Is your old manager re-hiring? The quiting co-worker is going back to his old manager.
  • Lee’s Sandwiches has a really good strong ice coffee.
  • Newport Beach is 10 degrees cooler than everywhere else. Duh.
  • A good honest dentist is hard to find.
  • In Irvine (or anywhere else in OC), housing prices have fallen with the foreclosures and limited loan approval.
  • Irvine is within the valley, so it gets a lot of smog.  Of course, no one who lives in Irvine wants to admit that.  I could see the smog clearly on a sunny day driving Northbound I-5 and along Jamboree Rd from Santiago Canyon Rd.
  • Co-worker got a new cell phone, the LG VenusThis photo was taken from the 2.0 megapixel camera phone.

I quote: “A good honest dentist is hard to find.” — I have to agree with you on this one.

I recently switched dentists. Although both are good, and the reason for my switch was really because I transferred places, I can’t help but compare my current dentist to my former one.

    Hi Lady,

I’ve transferred to many dentists over the past 15 years. They all ranged from a beginner (right out of college) to a senior one. For some reason, they all want to do all of the unnecessary work.

All of those root canals that I got, they may have been solved by one visit to a credible endodontist.

    Thanks for posting 🙂
