I use smugmug.com for my photo sharing. They’re a premium site (starts at $40/year) but has a lot of features and flexibility to manage my photos. They’ve come up with some great features that are unique and innovative such as picture positioning before it goes to print, and the latest is the holiday card generator. Now I heard they’re doing high-definition video sharing. It’s a family owned small company and I’m more than happy to support them.
Robert Scoble did a video interview with the co-founder Don MacAskill. It’s a great look behind the scene on what’s happening at smugmug.com. What strikes me as refreshing is the laid back attitude and the dedication to each other. A small and close knit company that is profitable is rare these days.
