Today I’ll be going to an office Christmas lunch at Buca di Beppo. It’s a late lunch at 2:30pm. So this morning at 7:30am as I was driving to work, I thought I should stop by McDonald’s or something, and grab breakfast on the go. I was hungry anyway since I was up way too early this morning.
As I was driving towards the nearest restaurant, I noticed the highway was smooth sailing. It was too good to pass up, so I said to myself: Skip breakfast and hit the highway! I’ll be at work in no time. I could pick up breakfast closer to work.
After about halfway to work, *BAM*: Traffic jam! I smacked myself on the head thinking I could’ve been eating a nice Sausage McMuffin (with eggs)! Instead, it was stop and go for the next 3 miles. I made it to the office at 8:30am, with my stomach growling.
A Lesson learned: Trust my gut feeling, especially when it’s hungry!

That was not nice adventure, but it could happen to anyone. I think that surely our stomach is the most true adviser in most cases. Animal rely on their hunger to survive, we should do the same from time to time 😉
