I am always a big fan of monster movies. Ever since the early 70’s with the Japanese Gojira and Ultraman series on TV, I’m always fascinated with this genre. Maybe it’s a scary-thrill thing, or maybe it’s just a guy thing. Monster movies always have suspense, thrill, and of course, the fear of being eaten. A great ingredient for my kind of entertainment. Some of my favourite monster movies include: Alien, Godzilla (yes, the Roland Emmerich version), The Host, Jaws, and Jurassic Park.
Now there is a new one that I’m anticipating to be ground-poundingly good: Cloverfield. It’s a thriller movie, made by the suspense master JJ Abrams, about an unseen monster terrorizing New York. It’ll be out January 18 2008 and I can’t wait to see it!
