We went to Foothill Ranch and Avila’s El Ranchito in the past two weeks. The days were warm and sunny when we talked about:
- Wii multiplayer over the internet: Here’s an illustration why it’s not there yet.
- Xbox Live has a good network and server infrastructure. Took advantage of their 1 year lead in the business.
- Apparently there are a lot to see in Seattle, not just Starbucks.
- The famous “main” street in Vancouver is Robson St.
- Cox charges extra fees for cable modem installation that customers can do themselves. Apparently Cox sucks.
- Facebook and LinkedIn: some of us use it, some of us don’t.
- Last weekend April 12-13 weather was scorching heat (felt like 90 degrees).
- Is Sprint Mobile Broadband faster than Cox cable modem in Newport Beach? Don’t know for sure until we can use the card again and test with their broadband speed test site.
- Teenagers these days are doing Britney Photo poses. Like my nieces have done, for example.
- Power Line Network. LK couldn’t get it work reliably.
- Lectures are being videotaped and made available in the library. Does this lead to undisciplined kids by giving them another reason not attend lectures?
- Mercedes new C-Class: LK and Miss J. like it.
Starbucks would be enough for me to visit any place. lol

We’re planning to go to Vancouver via Seattle. I know a couple of people with local knowledge, so it should be a no brainer. But who knows, when we get there the first thing we’ll do is probably find a few good restaurants and hang around them. We’re not that adventurous. 🙂
lol Is it that you don’t want to be adventurous or that you couldn’t be bothered? If I had the money, I’d be visiting a different city every other weekend!

I guess both can’t be bothered and not adventurous. I always go to places where I know someone there. That way they can recommend good spots to go and not waste time looking around. But, like you said, if I have the money, I will also stay longer and explore everything.
