Periapex just tagged me with this meme. I’ve done a similar one before with the 7 Weird Facts About Me. I wasn’t going to do this again but Reggy persuaded me to do it, so I’m giving this version a go.
It’s actually pretty tough to do this self-examination. But the other day it hit me: I can use my own blog to speak for me! Over the past 2 years I must have written about myself. After checking my blog archives, I came up with this list:
- Apparently, I like typing. I could type 50+ words per minute when I was a teenager. Now I can type up to 79 WPM.
- I question everything. Part curious. Part paranoid.
- I’m always in a lookout for others who share my first name: Rudy.
- I don’t really like going to school. It scares me. If it wasn’t for my buddies (and girls), I wouldn’t want to go to school. That and my parents would give me an earful. Hindsight: I’m glad I did go!
- I work late hours, a lot. The perils of my job. However, it’s a good thing I have a nice home office, so it’s not entirely bad.
- I always get the cold symptoms. I sneeze a lot, especially in changing temperature and dry air.
- I like to golf. It’s a cruel game, but I kept trying, trying, and trying anyway.
- I don’t like to go away on a long trip for a vacation. Last trip to Disneyworld was exhausting and made me want to go home. Vacation for me is staying at home, or short drive around town.
Like any meme, here are the rules:
- Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
- People who are tagged, write a blog post about their own 8 random things, and post these rules.
- At the end of your post you need to tag 8 people and include their names.
- Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’ve been tagged, and to read your blog.
I get to tag a few more people, so I’m going to ask my new Twitter friends. I want to get to know them better; this meme is a good start. [Update] I’m going to send a Direct Msg in Twitter.

I’ve become a horrible blogger of late… I saw this post the day it went live… but I haven’t commented because I went reading all your other posts and then closed the window. D’oh! Sorry Rudy. Thanks so much for doing it! This was fun.
I do believe I type slower than you do… but I don’t think that typing fast means you like typing. I know some people who would dictate to the computer all the time if they could.
Curiosity killed the cat… but we’re all curious creatures… and that’s probably why we will never see the end of death. (Hm… that came out a bit more morbid that I had intended. Oh well).
I hate it when I meet someone with my first name: not gonna tell you the full name. I like pretending to be one-of-a-kind.
I hated school too… but as I discovered in my last semester of University, I can actually be quite good at it!
I used to work late hours. I also always get cold symptoms but I think mine are due to cold allergies. I hate golf.
I love long road trips. I love long trips but I don’t like living out of a suitcase…
I’m pretty sure you didn’t need a response to each one of those but since I made you do it when you didn’t want to in the first place I thought I owed ya! haha 😛

Whoa, I wasn’t expecting you to respond to every line, but thanks for doing it anyway! It’s always fun to see any similarities. It’s common to see differences.
For the record, I’m not against memes. I just don’t like to repeat the same meme. So if you like to tag me for a different meme in the future, by all means go for it! 🙂
