One of my favorite TV show “24” is back. It all started in 2002 when I caught up to Season 2 of the hard-hitting action/drama. I was intrigued by the real-time, minute by minute, story telling. It’s a very unique plot device. The writing is also clever, bouncing from one issue to another with ease. There are a lot of back-stabbing, double-dealing, lying, cheating, pushing, shoving, and shooting. Beyond the obvious make-believe scenarios, the entire series still has good mystery, and the action is quite thrilling.
This new season 7 promises more action and mystery. It has been under wraps for more than a year, partly due to the writer’s strike. It’s time to see if it’s worth the wait. I’ve just finished the first 4 episodes, and so far so good. I’ll be looking forward to the next 3 months, watching the mystery unfolds. Will the senate find Jack guilty? Will Jack find love again? Will his daughter, Kim Bauer, forgive him?
As part of the TV watching experience, I usually watch the DVR version. I just tried to watch it real-time, including the commercials. I didn’t like it. I even used the mute button to make the ads more bearable. But, the waiting around bugs me, so I’m going back to my DVR.

Hey Rudy,
I like “discovering” a series after it’s been out for a few years, and then getting the season DVDs from Netflix. That way I can watch a couple of episodes at a time, and without commercials.
I like Keifer (and his dad), but have never watched 24. Maybe I’ll have to get season 1 and check it out. I saw about 5 minutes of the golden globes, and saw Keifer was there and nominated for 24 I think. ~ Steve, the trade show guru

Hey Steve,
I had those “24” DVD watching marathons before. When it was at it’s best, in season 2-4, it was hard to stop watching. It was just so addicting. At least when I watch it one week at a time, I’m force to take a break.
Kiefer was nominated for 24, many times before. I think he won a few.
